You make excellent points…do we really want to go back to when heathcare was unavailable to people with pre-existing conditions? Think of the nightmare for a parent with a disabled child who lost his/her job?
It is totally amazing to me that the RELIGIOUS right (perhaps a contradiction in terms these days) is so opposed to helping others. Did they not read the story of the good Samaritan? Did they not hear Jesus’ commandments about love? Where is the humanity in the hearts of humans who oppose this law?
I see also the assault on women who have slowly gained not equality yet but at least some sense of fairness in the political, economic and social “market places.” Perhaps it is time for us to march on Washington to make certain that the men in black robes as well as the “suits” in Congress realize they may not take back our LIBERTY.
